10-10:20 a.m. Welcome and Overview

What is leadership? For women, it’s certainly more than just influencing and inspiring others to achieve a goal. Women leaders face unique challenges and expectations, so we also need unique training and support to succeed. Kaye Bender will welcome you and highlight the issues and opportunities for women leaders and how this institute can help you overcome and thrive.

10:20-11:45 a.m. Cultivating Your Leadership Persona without Apology

 Learn how to embrace your leadership persona and express it with confidence and authenticity. Discover how to overcome the stereotypes and biases that often label women leaders as “hostile” or “bossy.” You will also explore how to communicate your vision and values effectively and inspire others to follow you.

11:45 a.m.-12 p.m. Connection and Collaboration Break

12-12:45 p.m. Relationships Matter: How to Self-Promote and Negotiate with Confidence

 In this session, you will learn how to build and nurture authentic relationships with people who can support you and advocate for you in your career. Discover how to identify and reach out to potential mentors and sponsors who can help you grow and achieve your goals. Learn how to self-promote effectively and showcase your strengths and achievements without feeling awkward or arrogant.


12:45-1 p.m. Connection and Collaboration Break


1-2:15 p.m. Lunch and Session: Balance for your Health

The demands of our professional and personal lives can lead us to work at an unrealistic and sometimes damaging pace. This session will help you explore techniques that you can implement to maintain a healthy balance.

Find out how to plan your schedule and prioritize your tasks in a way that maximizes your productivity and minimizes your stress. Learn how to protect your energy and prevent burnout by setting boundaries, delegating and saying “no.”

2:15-2:30 p.m. Closing

So, what is leadership? It is so much more than just influencing and inspiring others to achieve a goal. Today, you have found your voice and learned how to expand your influence beyond what you may have believed possible. You have enhanced your strategy, negotiation and communication skills to confidently lead your team and organization.
