Ayman El-Mohandes Young Professional Public Health Innovation Award

The APHA Ayman El-Monhandes Young Professional Public Health Innovation Award  recognizes a public health professional, age 40 or younger, who is using an innovative solution to address a complex public health issue.

Established in 2019, the award was endowed by Ayman El-Mohandes, MPH, MD, MSc, MBBCh, a former APHA Executive Board member, who envisioned an annual prize to recognize a young public health professional who is making a significant, innovative contribution to the public health field.

El-Monhandes, an internationally recognized leader in the field of public health, is a pediatrician, epidemiologist, and an academician with a deep commitment to bringing recognition to exceptional young public health professionals.
